The Dissemination Conference of the Hippotherapy Project which covers the vocational training of professionals specializing in hippotherapy who work with children with mental, emotional, physical and psychomotor retardation, has been held. Among the partners of the project, which was carried out under the coordination of our university, were EcologyKM from Bulgaria, Hippotherapy Association from Romania, and Cerebral Palsy Turkey and Equestrian Sports Club from our country.

The opening speech of the conference which was held at Gazi University Faculty of Health Sciences Conference Hall was given by Faculty of Health Sciences Dean and Project Coordinator Prof. Dr. Bulent Elbasan. Dean Prof. Dr. Bülent Elbasan started his speech by saying that they are happy to have completed the project. Explaining that within the scope of the project, they have made the practices of Horse Therapy in the world a curriculum, Prof. Dr. Elbasan said that together with the European partners of the project, they carried the examples of European practices on Horse Therapy to Turkey. Prof. Dr. Bülent Elbasan, thanked our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız for this support, and also academic staff who contributed to the project and national and international partners who took part.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, said that from the first day he took office he attached great importance in being a project focused rector and not construction focused. Expressing that the number of projects in our university has increased, Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız talked about the progress our University has made in the international arena.

Stating that the closure of a project means the beginning of a new one, Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız emphasized that they will always support faculty members in this regard.  Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız stated that as Gazi University they are working in line with the "Being a Gazi student is a privilege" expression, and that all the conditions needed to fullfill this statement are being met.  Noting that for the first time in the history of the university, 233 academic staff announcements were made today, Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız stated that the Faculty of Health Sciences took its share in this announcement with 20 staff.

Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız finished his speech by thanking those who contributed to the completion of the project.

Cumhur Elmacı.

The event ended after Prof. Dr. Bülent Elbasan's closing speech.
